The rules for using RankPrep, including early access, plans and billing, acceptable use, and the limits of what the Service promises.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the RankPrep website, forms, and study workspace (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
RankPrep is an independent examination preparation service. It provides diagnostics, practice questions, practice exams, explanations, and study recommendations for selected public safety examinations.
RankPrep does not administer any official examination, determine eligibility, rank candidates, or make hiring or promotion decisions. RankPrep is not affiliated with or endorsed by any agency, department, or civil service commission. See the Disclaimer.
Joining the early access list is free and does not create an account or a payment obligation. Early access lets us notify you when preparation for your examination opens.
Features, examinations, and timelines described on the Site may change before or after launch. We do not guarantee that a particular examination will be supported by a particular date.
RankPrep offers two plans for a single examination you select:
No payment is collected during early access. Before you are charged, you will see the price, billing period, and cancellation terms, and you must confirm your purchase. Prices exclude any applicable taxes.
You can cancel a monthly plan at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not refunded.
A plan covers one examination. Preparing for another examination requires a separate plan. We may change prices for future billing periods and will notify you before a change applies to you.

The Service, including its questions, explanations, study plans, design, and software, is owned by RankPrep or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own examination preparation while your plan is active. Statutes, regulations, and official documents cited in explanations remain the property of their owners.
When you send a question challenge, exam request, or other feedback, you allow RankPrep to use it to improve the Service without compensation to you. Do not send anything you are not entitled to share.
Practice results measure performance on RankPrep material. They are not a prediction of an official score, list position, or promotion. Study categories are not an official outline unless an examination page says they have been verified. Always confirm dates, eligibility, and reading lists with the administering authority.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, RankPrep disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Content is for study purposes and is not legal advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RankPrep will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost opportunity, score, ranking, or promotion. RankPrep's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid RankPrep in the 12 months before the claim arose.
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The effective date above shows the latest version. If a change is material, we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
